Our client is committed to ensuring the safe and efficient transport and handling of liquefied natural gas and delivering clean and sustainable energy solutions. As part of their continuous expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marine Superintendent to join their team in Norway.
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Marine Superintendent with expertise in LNG operations to ensure the safe and efficient performance of our LNG fleet in Norway. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to international maritime regulations and industry best practices while maintaining our commitment to environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of LNG carriers in compliance with international and company-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with vessel crews, port authorities, and third-party contractors to coordinate loading and unloading operations.
- Implement and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor vessel performance and identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of LNG carriers to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide support in emergency response and incident investigation.
Qualifications:
- STCW Certificate of Competency Master Mariner with sailing experience as Chief Officer on either LNG or LPG.
- Extensive experience in marine operations, including at least 5 years in LNG or LPG shipping.
- Familiarity with relevant international standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligibility to work in Norway.
