We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with specialised knowledge in maritime software to join our team.
As Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in managing a wide range of legal responsibilities, including corporate and commercial agreements, company secretarial duties, and regulatory compliance. This position involves close collaboration with business leaders, external advisors, and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and review various commercial agreements and legal documents essential to our operations, including service contracts, IP agreements, rental contracts, and more.
- Support joint ventures, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Manage debt collection notices and coordinate with external legal advisors as needed.
- Develop and maintain a structured contract management process to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with company secretarial tasks and regulatory matters.
Qualifications:
- Law degree from a reputable university, with admission as a solicitor in England and Wales.
- Minimum 4 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally with a focus on maritime software or Bunkers.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in cross-border transactions.
- Familiarity with the UAE regulatory environment is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess legal risks.
