This role can be based in either Southampton or Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to provide technical support for marine vessels and offshore installations.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs of marine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnose equipment failures, providing timely solutions.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to optimize vessel efficiency and reliability.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations relevant to marine engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience working as a Marine Engineer onboard vessels or offshore installations.
- Solid understanding of marine engineering principles, systems, and equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
