Faststream Recruitment are working with a growing Hydrographic Surveying company that has just become part of an International Energy transition business. As part of their growth strategy we are currently recruiting for a number of roles. 

As part of the growth we are looking for a Dimensional Control Surveyor on a permanent basis to work on either a hybrid basis from their Hampshire/Wiltshire office or alternatively candidates working remotely can be considered. 
As a  Dimensional Control Surveyor you will be working within the the Geomatics department and taking a lead on dimensional control projects.

Duties include:
  • Assisting with technical aspects of conducting dimensional control survey operations including, data acquisition, processing and reporting of dimensional control survey data.
  • Assisting with technical queries from clients and colleagues and problem-solve for colleagues working remotely.
  • Contributing to survey strategies regarding projects, tasks, and operations current and future.
  • Supporting the survey manager to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met.
  • Project Administration, Client Liaison & Resource Allocation – staff, equipment, vehicles, HSE etc.
  • Conducting complex fieldwork projects.
  • Maintenance of survey equipment including conducting equipment calibrations and verifications.
  • Dimensional control data acquisition and assisting colleagues with technical issues during fieldwork.
  • Dimensional control data processing, reporting and & assisting with QA of completed projects.

Candidates should  knowledge of Land Surveying procedures as well as  knowledge of hydrographic sensors used on survey vessels. (MBES, GNSS, USBL, MRU, IMU, INS etc). The role can be offered on either a hybrid or remote basis with an expectation of roughly 75 days working away on site per year.
