Job Description




We are seeking a skilled Claims Handler/Adjuster in Hamburg to manage and process marine insurance claims. You will review documentation such as survey reports, statements, and certifications to assess claims' extent. Utilizing your expertise, you will prepare accurate adjustments and statements, considering technical terms, replacement costs, invoices, and depreciation factors. Additionally, you will assist in preparing core company products post-training.


Main Tasks:
  • Collecting relevant documents for insurance claims
  • Reviewing documents and invoices for accuracy
  • Analyzing international insurance conditions
  • Drafting adjustments in Excel and Word
  • Maintaining organized files
  • Corresponding with stakeholders

Skills required:
  • Self-initiated worker with problem-solving abilities
  • Graduate studies or completed apprenticeship as a shipping agent and/or insurance broker, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Shipping preferred; knowledge in the Maritime industry essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Understanding of numerical data
  • Proficiency in English and German
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
