We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to manage P&I and FDD claims, support our underwriting team, and strengthen our relationships with members in our Greek office. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in maritime law and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned P&I and FDD claims, offering guidance and identifying loss prevention opportunities.
- Foster strong relationships with current Members.
- Ensure prompt and accurate filing of all electronic claim correspondence.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of company procedures and systems.
- Create content for inclusion in Club publications.
- Undertake tasks within your skill set as directed.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance relevant knowledge and skills.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Person Specification:
- Degree holder, preferably with LLB or LLM in Maritime Law.
- Extensive experience in handling P&I and FDD claims at a P&I Club, law firm, or shipowner.
- Strong communication skills for effective relationship management with Members.
- Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding written skills.
- Highly organized, enthusiastic, and capable of prioritising workload effectively.
- Able to collaborate with individuals at all levels and work well within a small team.
