Operations Manager
Your areas of responsibility will be
• Execute and oversee the daily coordination between internal departments to ensure effective and
timely planning.
• Daily coordination with third-party agents.
• Coordination of bunkering within Americas, in close partnership with Group Bunkering.
• The creation of vessel stowage plans and the sub-sequent communication with vessel command to
ensure the most effective stowage plans (crane split, limiting restows, stability of the vessel etc)
• Hands on planning of terminal operation for Unifeeder vessels, by exchanging loadlists, baplie files,
stowage plans as well as during operations follow-ups.
• Optimisation and analysis of vessel performance during sea-passage and port stays by utilizing and
monitoring through the tool Zero North as well as speed monitoring through the report hub.
• To follow up on terminal operations, to identify areas of improvements through the report hub.
• To closely monitor vendor performance and take steps to improve performance in the
relationships (berth productivity, pilot productivity, crane split etc.) through the report hub.
• Leading and directing the operations team in Americas by example – and by adopting the DP World
group principles.
• To drive continues improvement of processes internally and externally by establishing workshops
with relevant stakeholders.
• Support the sales and service expansion within the Americas, by building cost scenarios, visiting
external parties on site (ports, terminals, third party agents, towage supplies)
• Assist group procurement with the procurement of services within the region (towage, pilotage
etc.)
• Reconciliation of accounts together with Group Shared Service Centre in India – ensure that
queries are clarified and answered in a timely manner.

To succeed in this role we expect that you have a maritime background or knowledge of the industry. We are looking for a candidate who has profound knowledge within container vessels and stowage, and who is familiar with systems Navis and Seacos/Stowman. Further, due to local legislation you must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
