As Structural Engineering Lead you will be acting as PMT responsible for overseeing civil and structural deliverables from an EPC contractor on a new brownfield development project for the world's leading LNG producer.
The role is based in Qatar on a 36 month contract, and full family status is available for the duration of the project.
Key Job Accountabilities:
*Responsible for Operability of all civil and structural systems for start -up, normal, turndown and shutdown modes as well as abnormal operating conditions
*Participates in Hazardous Operations (HAZOP or HAZID) reviews
*Assists PMT in meeting expectations as required, especially Risk Assessment, Reliability and Maintenance Study, Facility Design and Construction and Management of Change, 3D Model Reviews, Weight Management, Structural design, Pipe Stress Assessment etc.
*Tracking and reporting of lessons learned
*Mentors and fosters the professional development of direct reports
*Monitor implementation of vendor documentation requirements and spare parts requirements
*Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures
*Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills
*Well established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing needs

*Establishes credibility with peers, subordinates and supervisors
Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering)
Significant experience as a Structural Engineer demonstrating experience as a Senior Engineer on major capital projects
Experience with EPC contractors, PMT or Operators
