Safety Advisor / Medic (Permanent)

This role fulfils two functions, that of Safety Advisor and Medic, on-board an FPSO.

Within your role as Safety Advisor you will be responsible for the supervision and operation of safe activities and for the maintenance management of the safety equipment on the FPSO along with monitoring and auditing the electronic permit to work system.

In your role as Medic you will be responsible for providing medical treatment, maintaining medical supplies on-board and supporting the OIM with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

-Advising management and personnel on all aspects of Health, Safety and the Environment.
-Promoting the safety culture through safety meetings, tool box talks etc.
-Advising line management on implementation of scope of work practices and precautions.
-Carrying out necessary safety assessments including auditing of work related processes and activities.
-Maintaining and operating the COSHH systems.
-Perform safety equipment maintenance as determined by Maximo.
-Ensuring the smooth running of the electronic permit to work system and enforcing company
-Efficiently controlling and administering an offshore Medical section in accordance with relevant legislation.
-Providing first line accident treatment and general medical treatment.
-Dispensing medication.
-Consulting with shore based medical facilities as required.
-Maintaining dangerous drug register.
-Maintaining a register of prescribed medication.
-Maintaining medical records.

Key Requirements:

-Combined Offshore Survival, Fire Fighting and HUET Certificate A;G;H
-Oil & Gas UK Offshore Medical Certificate A;G;H
-Oil & Gas UK Certificate of Fitness to Participate in Emergency Response Team Duties A;H
-NEBOSH Technical Certificate or experience A;G;H
-Offshore Medic Certificate
-Equivalent industry experience
