Our client plays a key role in the global liquefied gas supply chain, providing gas transportation solutions for energy companies, and commodity traders.
We are seeking an experienced candidate with a background and proven track record of technical management of LPG/ Ethylene vessels.
The level of experience required will mean that candidates will have experience in shore based technical role. It is essential that you have an seagoing background, a class 1 or 2 certificate of competency and sea time in a senior rank preferably on LPG vessels.
In addition, you will be required to work closely with our 3rd party managers to maintain oversight over the day to day management of the 3rd party managed fleet, ensuring that operation, maintenance and budget controls meet the standards expected. You will be responsible for the safety and technical performance of the vessels managed within the London based fleet group, including risk management, incident reporting and communicating performance statistics and performance improvement programs.
You must be willing to travel locally and internationally as required in order to monitor the maintenance and condition of the vessels and as necessary when required to take part in incident investigations, audits, training programs or as required by the Director.
Must be in possession of a Class 1 cert of competency and have sailed in a senior rank at sea on LPG vessels
Experience ashore in a Superintendent role managing LPG tankers - Preferred
Experience of LPG, Petchem and Ethylene cargo operations.
Performance related Bonus up to 25% of basic salary
