Hydraulics Service Engineer
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for performing and supervising service activities such as refurbishment, upgrades, preventive maintenance and corrective actions on.
Your key accountabilities will include inspecting, troubleshooting, reporting, planning and conducting service or repair as necessary either alone or by leading a team and to ensure adequate records and documentation are maintained in line with agreed standards.
The ideal candidate will have Bachelor's degree in Engineering or/and experience on ships & their marine equipment, either by having experience as a marine engineer or having an experience form a marine repair company.
In addition to good mechanical engineering skills, you should have practical understanding on hydraulics. Competencies in electrics will be strongly beneficial.
You must be able to work independently and as part of a greater team. The position requires frequent traveling mainly within the United Kingdom, although international travel may be required.
Travel may be required at short notice, including over weekends and public holidays.
A valid driver's license and passport for UK and European travel is necessary.
You must have good customer service skills including possessing a solid reputation for follow up and handling customer requests and complaints. You should also be able to communicate effectively in English, be customer oriented, analytical, and be able to work independently as well as in a cross functional team.
